Our Story
The Montana Motorcycle Safety Foundation was created by riders who understood what Montana's open roads demand — real skills, earned through real training.
Montana consistently ranks among the highest per-capita states for motorcycle fatalities. The data is clear: trained riders crash less. MSF-certified courses work. But access to those courses across Montana's vast geography has always been uneven.
MTMC was founded to close that gap. By channeling Foundation Plate proceeds and individual donations into course subsidies and program expansion, we make DPS-approved rider training accessible to more Montanans — in more communities, every riding season.
We are headquartered in Billings and serve riders across the entire state, from the Hi-Line to the Bitterroot.
